The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office believes a crack cocaine addiction led a mother of three to prostitute out one of her own children.
But the investigation hasn't stopped there. The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office is now looking for men who might have had sex with Candence Parkman's 15 year old daughter.
They've already made six arrests. But they think they're could be many more.
41 year old Candence Parkman was arrested eight days ago by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics for the intent to distribute crack cocaine. She was booked into the Lawrence County Jail. But what sheriff's investigators learned next was unbelievable.
"The best we can tell, they would come to her house they were going to other places too, everywhere they could meet them for these activities," said Willie Walker, Lawrence County Under-Sheriff.
And it's all because Parkman wanted drugs. Now she's also charged with permitting the continuing sexual abuse of a child.
"It's probably one of the hardest cases we've ever worked. Most people don't understand it," said Walker.
Parkman used to live in this rural part of the county until her arrest. Neighbors tell us the trailer she lived in with her daughter was just removed Tuesday. Six men were arrested...ages ranging from 19 to 43. They face a total of 22 charges for statutory rape between them. One of those arrested is Robert Brown, he faces 10 of those charges. Five are from Lawrence County, one from Jeff Davis County. But under-Sheriff Willie Walker believes more are out there.
"This has been an on going thing that we've had some reports on for a while, the deeper we got into the investigation they come to light," said Walker.
Residents who lived near Parkman in the Silver Creek community had no idea this was going on.
"Most of them that live up her is family and we just a quiet family, quiet neighborhood, never know none of these things was happening around us," said Iola McGowan, Lawrence County resident.
"It's bad, she need to be locked up and they need to throw away the key," said Linda Newsome, Lawrence County resident.
Parkman's bail was set at 200 thousand dollars. The bail for the six men charged with statutory rape is 10 thousand dollars per charge. All of them are still in the Lawrence county jail unable to make bond. Parkman's 15 year old daughter has been place in a foster home by the Department of Human Services.

I had to surf the web for any updates or more details...
because I am detecting a less then truthful scenario being presented!
I think the police version of events is a LIE,
I think they continued to let her be abused...
Not a clue that was going to surface

So, I wanted to find answers pertaining to the details
because the story simply makes no d#mn sense to me.
Instead, I was reminded of the heart wrenching reality,
of the atrocities that unquestionably far surpass this one.

Beverly mother gets 15-18 years in child sex abuse case
SALEM - Mary Jean Armstrong, the Beverly mother who prostituted
her 8-year-old daughter for more than a year in exchange for cocaine
was sentenced to 15 to 18 years in state prison yesterday
by a judge who said Armstrong had "damaged her daughter for life."
Dunigan described how the case came to light after a woman
named Jill Pena-Contreras visited Lapham's Salem apartment,
where he showed her photos of himself engaging in sexual acts
with a dark-haired little girl and boasted of how
he gave the girl's mother crack cocaine in exchange.
Horrified, Pena-Contreras later returned to the apartment
and stole the pictures, then brought them to police,
an act Dunigan called heroic.
Police used the photos to get a search warrant for
Lapham's apartment, expecting to find more photos.
They walked in on a horrific scene: the little girl, 9 at the time,
naked under a blanket, Lapham dressed in his underwear,
and a pornographic video playing on the television.
Armstrong was in a bedroom with
her other child, a 12-year-old boy who is autistic.
And, said her lawyer, she was already high on cocaine and painkillers.
The little girl told police officers that Lapham
had undressed her and made her touch him
and that it had happened many times.
Armstrong would tell police that it happened
as many as 50 times during a 16-month period,
sometimes in Lapham's apartment and
sometimes in her Beverly apartment.
Lapham is now serving a 15- to 18-year prison term
imposed in 2005 after he pleaded guilty.
Another defendant in the case, Patrick Doyle,
was sentenced last month to a year in jail for his role in the case.
During one episode of abuse in Armstrong's apartment
Doyle was present and having sex with Armstrong and
another woman as the crying girl was being raped by Lapham.

Mother charged with stabbing son
DeMichele killed her son by stabbing him several times with a knife,
according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Luis A. Valentin.
DeMichele then threw her son from a second-floor apartment window
onto a parking lot behind the building, sources said.

The woman was prepared to offer her daughter
"for pornographic photos and anything else
that was available if the price was right," Sheriff Warren Evans said.
"She had indicated very clearly that the child would do
whatever it was that the person who was going to meet the child
wanted to do, and that she would see that the child complied.
The woman arrived at the hotel with her daughter,
along with adult sex toys in a duffel bag
and different dresses for the girl to wear,
