I've gained a lot more will power. I've been having the WANT to quit. It still just feels like a never-ending journey...

So glad to see you here. The want to quit is good. And you have all the reason in the world to stop using, and you have the desire to stop using, and you have made some really good progress.
Give yourself some credit for what you have achieved.
Learn from your mistakes so you can try not to repeat them.
You are a good person and you can do this.
It may seem like a never ending journey right now, and it is, but it is one that you can get thru if you keep working at it. Stay diligent in your efforts. There are good times ahead for you, so look forward to them. Stay focused on the positive.

I hate this disease too...but I also agree with Lucy, you have taken some good first steps and you can stop if you do things smart. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

As Lucy pointed out, their are good times ahead of you and they don't involve drugs. They involve your family and friends who actually love you. this feeling to want more will pass especially after taking the first step of wanting to quit. As Keifer Sutherland put it “I liked the ceremony, the ritual of preparing cocaine, as much as doing it. I did it for a year, loved it, then stopped. Now I feel the same way about cooking.”

Hi Torn,

I can relate - I have been where you are. I can't give you any answers but I am past hating this disease because recovery has given me far more than I could have ever hoped for. Your answers are out there if you search for them.
