CAMH succeeds in transforming the lives of people affected by addiction and mental illness, by applying the latest in scientific advances, through integrated and compassionate clinical practice, health promotion, education and research.
We have central facilities located in Toronto, Ontario and 26 community locations throughout the province. CAMH is fully affiliated with the University of Toronto and is a Pan American Health Organization and World Health Organization Collaborating Centre. CAMH was formed in 1998 as a result of the merger of the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry, the Addiction Research Foundation, the Donwood Institute and Queen Street Mental Health Centre.

AADAC's role is to promote people's independence and well being through increasing use of social, emotional, spiritual and physical resources, and to provide cost-effective, holistic alternatives to hospital-based and medical services.

 | Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse (CCSA)  Description: The Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse (CCSA) is an arms-length, national agency, established in 1988 by an Act of Parliament. Funded by Canada's Drug Strategy and through its own revenue-generating efforts, the Centre:
*promotes informed debate on substance abuse issues and encourages public participation in reducing the harm associated with drug abuse;
*disseminates information on the nature, extent and consequences of substance abuse;
*supports and assists organizations involved in substance abuse treatment, prevention and educational programming.
